About
Mission statement:
D.R.E.A.M.’s mission is to help any and every animal that needs assistance in finding a new, loving forever home.
About Ditto, DREAM’s namesake (Ditto’s Rescue, Every Animal Matters):
Ditto was our president and founder’s first kitty. She was a beautiful tortoise shell cat with lots of spunk, attitude and heart. She came from a litter of kittens from a cat that roamed Jonnie’s apartment building when she was just a girl of nineteen. Ditto’s mother, Doll, was actually owned by a neighbor, but once Doll had her kittens, the neighbor actually locked her inside for several weeks so she could not reach her kittens to feed them. Fortunately, Doll had given birth to Ditto and her siblings on Jonnie’s porch, so Jonnie worked tirelessly to feed them and keep them warm, waiting for mom to come back during the weeks when she was locked away and unable to care for her own kittens.
After a few weeks, when the neighbors assumed the kittens had perished, they let Doll out and she returned to her kittens and took them back to her home, leaving Jonnie in puzzlement as to just exactly where the kittens she had been bottle feeding went. Later, after several weeks, Jonnie found Ditto and her siblings inside the neighbor’s house; at this point, two had already been killed by random accidents because of the children, two had already found homes, and the last kitten that hadn’t been killed or adopted was Ditto. So Ditto came to Jonnie, and Jonnie cared for Ditto for the rest of her kitty life.
Ditto’s life was long for a cat – she lived to almost twenty years old. Through thick and thin, Jonnie and Ditto stuck together. Even when Ditto was stuck in an apartment nearby for two weeks, Jonnie busted through the glass window to retrieve her and bring her back home to safety. Even when Ditto didn’t gain any weight after months of rehabilitation and though the treatment cost thousands, Jonnie was there to pay it and take her home and love her just the same. Even when Jonnie moved, went through school, got her heart broken, Ditto was there to keep her company, curl up in her lap, and let her know that all was right in the world.
Ditto was Jonnie’s best friend and her baby – and Feburary 4th, 2011, Ditto was put to sleep after a long and happy life spent almost entirely with her human companion. D.R.E.A.M. stands for “Ditto’s Rescue, Every Animal Matters” to continue the memory of Ditto and her contribution to our president’s life through rescuing cats and other animals just like Ditto; ones in situations that could improve with a new, happier home, where they can live out their lives in happiness, warmth, and companionship.

Laguna Beach, CA,92651
About
The City of Laguna Beach Animal Shelter was started in 1975 by a group of dedicated volunteers, The Pet Responsibility Committee (now PUP Laguna Beach), who lobbied the City of Laguna Beach to purchase the old Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals building on Laguna Canyon Road for use as a shelter. Today, the shelter serves the residents of Laguna Beach and Laguna Woods by providing temporary care of sick, injured, and strayed or abandoned animals rescued by the animal services officers in the City of Laguna Beach and the City of Laguna Woods.
The shelter is funded by the City of Laguna Beach and supported by generous donations. Donations to PUP Laguna Beach fund the rehabilitation of our animals that require medical attention so that healthy pets can be put up for adoption. Donations are also used to help rescue dogs and cats. Please visit our donate page for more information on how you can contribute to the future adoption of a pet.
At any one time, the facility houses dogs, cats, birds, and a small number of other animals. Every abandoned animal that comes through the Shelter is held for seven days for reclaiming by its owner. As a small community, the claim-rate is extremely high at 80%. We have been very fortunate to receive support from our community, the local veterinarians, the Pacific Wildlife project, the Bluebell Cat Foundation, and the citizens who appear with helping hands whenever there is a fire or flood in the canyon. We greatly appreciate the tremendous support from the community!

About
Southern California Bulldog Rescue provides shelter, re-homing assistance, and funds for medical treatment for over 100 bulldogs each year. These dogs come to us from animal shelters, other rescue groups, and owners who wish to surrender their purebred bulldogs. We help bulldogs in the Southern California area find suitable homes. Our network consists of many volunteers who foster, do home checks, transport, and place bulldogs who come into our program. Over 1000 bulldogs have been placed thru rescue in Southern California during the last 10 years. We rely entirely on donations for support.
Our Mission
The mission of Southern California Bulldog Rescue is to rehabilitate and find loving families for homeless bulldogs. Our goal is to provide the care and time needed to prepare unwanted bulldogs for placement. We pledge to do our best to make sure they have a good life.
Our Goals
- To accept Bulldogs whose owners can no longer keep them.
- To retrieve Bulldogs from shelters or any other source so they may live to see another day.
- To find responsible, stable, loving new homes for all rescued Bulldogs.
- To only place Bulldogs that have been neutered or spayed, to help reduce the population of unwanted pets, by having the necessary surgical procedures performed before placement.
- To rehabilitate Bulldogs before placement by providing necessary medical treatment and training to increase the chances of successful placement.
- To place Bulldogs in suitable homes as soon as reasonably possible, so they can start their “new lives” quickly.
- To thoroughly screen applicants before making placement decisions.
- To inform prospective adopters about the rescue program and the requirements for taking care of Bulldogs.

About
Our mission is to help as many animals as we can live a longer and happier life with a family that cares for them by raising money and awareness for no kill shelters and rescue groups. We have been on our mission since November 18th, 2014. We have been a tax exempt non-profit since December 24th, 2014. Shelter Helper started as an idea to form a club at Saddleback Community College in Mission Viejo, CA. During the club setup process the school administrators were not going to let us do any fundraising off campus. So the founder decided to take the club idea and turn it into a real 501(c)3 non profit. We started as a fundraising organization for the no kill shelters and rescue groups in Orange County, California. Now we are expanding our efforts to allow for all of the shelters and rescue groups in Orange County to post their adoptable animals on our website. Doing so makes the adoption process more efficient and helps more animals to be seen by adopting families. Our plan is to continue expanding the marketing of adoptable animals on our website and social platforms across the whole state of California. Then across the nation. We are excited for how many animals we are going to be able to help be seen that otherwise would not have anyone helping them get in the spotlight!
